Gilead Sciences to Release Fourth Quarter and Year-End 2003 Financial Results on Thursday, January 29, 2004; Conference Call and Webcast to Follow

(Nasdaq:GILD) announced today that its fourth quarter and year end 2003 financial results will be released on Thursday, January 29, 2004, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. At 4:30 p.m. Gilead will webcast a conference call live on the company's internet site.
