I have always felt that employee resource groups play a very important role in the culture of an organization. For a company to grow and be successful, employees need to feel seen and heard. I joined Gilead in 2013, and I try to bring inclusion to my work by ensuring that we are working with stellar individuals with diverse experience. With our employee resource groups and GLOBE, we aim to provide a forum for employees to build a sense of community and foster a work culture where all people are valued, empowered, and contribute to the growth of Gilead. We're all leaders, and I want to make sure that our members feel that GLOBE is their organization to mold and take to the next level.

Supplier Inclusion

GLOBE partners with the supplier inclusion team to attract qualified business partners that share our commitments to promoting equal opportunity, fostering inclusion and attracting a workforce with a broad spectrum of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds.

Giving Back to the Community

Every year, our employee resource groups select nonprofit organizations to support with a 2:1 matching campaign as part of our corporate Giving Together program. Recent beneficiaries have focused on Black wellness, college counseling, menstrual education and cultural change.

Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth is one of GLOBE’s largest events of the year. Gilead and Kite sites across the U.S. honor the national holiday with inspiring speakers and musical performances celebrating African American culture and heritage. GLOBE’s Juneteenth celebration brings together allies across the organization to highlight the achievements of our Black community and ways in which we can support one another.
